LEEF Foundation COVID-19 Relief Help for Liberia

On May 26, 2020 our team (LEEF Foundation) donated to the Administration of the John F Kennedy Medical Center to assist in the combat against the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation is also supported by the municipality council GROS Hoeilaart and residents of the city Hoeilaart. LEEF Foundation package to the JFK hospital contains hundreds of reusable facemasks. The first 40 batch facemasks were made in Belgium by a resident of Hoeilaart. We obtained two sketches for the making of more facemask from Brussels Belgium and hundreds of facemasks were made locally in Gardnersville, Liberia. The donation also includes disinfectant alcohol, hydro-alcoholic gel, hand gels, hand sanitizer, and gloves for the hospital staff working in the intensive care and infectious disease units.

The most effective way to remove the virus and reduce the spread is by washing one hand thoroughly with soap and water. Therefore, LEEF donated a total of 25 30 litres buckets along with Dettol, Clora, and soap to enable the making of a handwashing solution.

The donation is a way of saying thank you to the John F Kennedy hospital administration and staff for their countless service. We applaud our health workers and we appreciate the hard work and dedication with the little resources they must sometimes work with.

To everyone who made it possible, we say a BIG THANK YOU!
